OPAi

Christmas Eve, 2008:
On the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 8 mission, the oneplanetarchitecture institute (OPAi) is established as a new platform for inter-disciplinary co-operation. OPAi aims to make a fresh contribution to sustainable ‘structures’ ranging from buildings to supply chains. With the establishment of OPAi, the oneplanetarchitecture attitude and methodology as developed by RAU is no longer limited to traditional architecture as such. It is now an attitude based network that partners can use for their own benefit and the planet at large.
For each case, OPAi forms project-specific teams. Each team is a unique collaboration of people we know from our network. They work in a co-operative, task oriented manner and are determined to deliver the quality that our planet earth deserves.
OPAi’s fields of research, consultancy and project management include:
- Energy (saving; production; distribution)
- Materials (origin; conversion; life cycle analysis)
- Organisational development (flow, balance, change, identity)
- Context analysis (integration into nature; space for nature)
